I Was Mistaken

The wig-wearing "Jamaican" I reference in my previous post is actually from the small British territory-island of Montserrat in the Lower Antilles.

Coincidentally, she hasn't been in much since that post, nearly a month ago. Perhaps I have discovered some sort of gamblers' bane, which, in reality, might be more of a curse than blessing.

Speak of the Devil

Jamaican lady with a wig comes in daily, sometimes twice, and plays a large sum of the Numbers game. Pleasant and understanding, however, like many Lottery customers, overstays her welcome nonetheless. Asks me to check her tickets that she already knows to be losers. A redundant and futile task meant to sate her obsession. While she was here today, another daily Numbers regular happened in, he less irritating due to the brevity of his visits. In-and-out, which has led me to appreciate him more.

There is an old man loitering now, as I type this. He played a Megabucks and Mega Millions number one each, but he's just standing looking out the window. I asked if I could help him, he said he was just waiting. Upon his asking me if that was OK, I nodded, but really, I want to be rude and kick this decrepit bastard out. He looks pathetic.

New Year

It's my first day back at work this year. I had to come in extra early, as I'll have to do for the next two weeks.

This upcoming fortnight also entails a heavier responsibility load.

I just hope I don't have to deal with too many degenerate gamblers who loiter and distract me.

I will report back on these patrons. In fact, I've been considering for a while now profiling them to a certain extent. Despite my annoyance at their presence, they do keep me employed. On top of that, they are definitely interesting characters some of them.

Unaware

I didn't realize that anyone was interested in my blog at all, but a few people have made comments that lead me to believe the contrary.

I keep telling myself I'll update this more often, but have yet to find the determination to do so.

I am going to just start blasting out random madness everyday.

Over a Month

It's been approximately 8 weeks since I started this space, and while I've been struck by inspiration to contribute to it, the execution of such work has failed. Being a novice blogger, with what I'm supposed to fill entries somewhat eludes me. The aforementioned inspiration but lack of execution can probably be attributed to my inability to decide what is appropriate for or makes a good blog. Most blogs I see are very specific, relating to food, music, hobbies, or similar lifestyle interests.

I'm just gonna dive in and run with it.

Plus, I have only ONE follower. I should promote this.
